Issue #30 May/June 2002

After reading A Labywhat? you may be thinking, That's neat . . . but what can I do with this information on labyrinths? How about doing a special event at your church that includes a labyrinth? Group Publishing has developed just the tool to help you.

You can purchase a kit that provides all you need to establish a temporary labyrinth in your church or ministry offices. The Prayer Path: A Christ-Centered Labyrinth Experience was first developed by a group of ministries in London, England. An editor for Group happened to be in London the week the labyrinth was open. He experienced it, loved it, and convinced Group to produce it in North America.

Group's labyrinth kit comes complete with:

• Leader's Guide

Ten individual devotional guides (more can be purchased for 50 cents each)

• Six accompanying CDs that act as "audio guides"

• Two videos, which are run at two different stations

While the labyrinth may be somewhat complicated to set up (there are 11 stations), the leader's guide has incredibly detailed and easy-to-follow instructions. Group has not left anything out in helping you to be successful. In order to run the labyrinth exactly as Group suggests, there are a number of other materials you will need that are not in the kit, but all of these materials are easily accessible.

The Prayer Path is also a great idea to use on a youth retreat. In fact, Group has an additional package a youth leader can buy that provides all he or she needs to run the entire retreat.

The Prayer Path retails for $79.99. It can be ordered through your local Christian bookstore or direct from Group at (800) 747-6060 ext. 1536.
