Tim Baker
"Tim Baker began writing over ten years ago. He's
the author of fifteen books including one award winning and several
award nominated student books. Tim has been featured on a few
national radio broadcasts, his books have been reviewed in scores
of magazines, newspapers and on dozens of websites. He's written
for many ministry publications including Group Magazine,
Youthworker Journal, The Journal of Student Ministries and
YouthWalk, magazine."
Ya know...no one really believes a bio, do they? I mean...come on!
Anyone can write anything they want about themselves in these silly
things. So, he's written books. Who cares that he's spoken to a
bajillion people on the radio. Does it really matter that his stuff
is translated into Spanish, Norwegian, Indonesian, Chinese, French,
and, through the magic of some very skilled editors, English?
Here's what's important about Tim. This is what you need to know
the most about him.
He's the husband of a very incredible piano-teaching wife who,
because of her unending patience, allows him mucho time to write
and create. He's the father of three incredible kids. One who's an
aspiring writer. Another who's an aspiring dancer. And a son who
just likes doing boy stuff.
Tim is an adjunct professor of Biblical Studies at LeTourneau
University. He's also the Director of Student Ministries at Hope
Fellowship. In his spare time Tim pitches in on the administrative
and creative teams of a few local businesses.
Tim started writing because he saw a need for student books that
were real, and relevant. His first writing gig was pitching in
writing curriculum for a large, well known Christian book
publisher. Then, he took on a few curriculum books of his own.
Before long, Thomas Nelson publishers gave him the chance to write
his own book. Since then he's been writing fairly regularly. Make
sure you check our his books page to see what he's published so
far. You can also check out the projects page to see what he's
currently writing.
