Shirley Rose
Shirley Rose has been in ministry alongside her husband Jerry for over 30 years. Through her television program “Aspiring Women,” her books, and speaking appearances, she demonstrates her passion for God—and for helping women to be their best in all areas of life.
In 2007 Shirley’s program “Aspiring Women” received two Emmy Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. In 2006 she received the prestigious Excellence in Communications award, and “Aspiring Women” was recently named “Best Television Talk Show” by the National Religious Broadcasters Association. It’s a program that meets women where they are and features captivating stories, honest talk, and spiritual insight on the challenging issues women face. The program is syndicated in about 60 cities across the U.S. and Canada and airs in every state on Sky Angel satellite. In addition, the program is broadcast throughout the Arab world, Europe, and even into the Far East. Shirley and her husband Jerry host an equally compelling program called “Significant Living,” which is targeted to boomers and focuses on those who have made a difference in the second half of life.
Shirley’s latest book, which she co-wrote with her husband, is GPS: God’s Plan for Significance. It is written to help readers celebrate life and faith after 50, and to find renewed meaning and significance as they age. Her other books, The Eve Factor, A Wise Woman Once Said…, and Growing Your Dreams provide inspiration, guidance, and practical advice to help women attain true success and spiritual maturity.
Drawing from a rich background of corporate leadership and business, paired with ministry and the personal challenges of raising three children, she brings refreshing transparency, sound wisdom and warmth to any audience. Shirley’s speaking and Bible studies have touched thousands of lives from as far away as Australia to as close as her own home church, from drug-addicted pregnant women of the inner city to the most affluent of Chicago’s Gold Coast.
Shirley has served on numerous boards and is a member of Advanced Writers and Speakers Association, Women in Christian Media, and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. She serves as executive producer and co-host of the “Aspiring Women,” “Significant Living,” and “Balanced Health” television programs. Her husband Jerry is President and CEO of TLI. He is an ordained minister.
Shirley and Jerry have three children and ten grandchildren.
