Lela Gilbert
Lela Gilbert is a free-lance writer and editor who
has authored or co-authored more than sixty published books. She
writes primarily in the field of ecumenical Christian non-fiction,
and her work includes the award-winning 1996 survey of
anti-Christian persecution, Their Blood Cries Out, co-authored with
Paul Marshall, and the brief primer on Muslim history and beliefs,
Islam at the Crossroads. She served as managing editor of the
award-winning best-seller A Table in the Presence: The Dramatic
Account of How a U.S. Marine Battalion Experienced God's Presence
Amidst the Chaos of the War in Iraq, by LT Carey H. Cash. She also
co-authored Saving Our Sons: Preparing Our Young Black Men to Face
the Challenge of Islam, with Carl Ellis, scheduled for publication
in 2008. She has authored her own published fiction, children's
books and poetry. As a writer, she has traveled to Europe, Africa,
Asia and the Middle East as well as to many regions in North
America. She lives in California and Jerusalem.
