Joel Vestal
Joel Vestal started ServLife International when in college and as a result of traveling through the world and walking through the streets of Calcutta, the hospitals of Baghdad, the villages of southeast Africa, the jungles of Indonesia, war torn Sudan, the slums of Cairo, and oppressed Cuba.
Joel has traveled in over 70 nations, met Mother Teresa on several occasions, was on national T.V. in Iraq, interrogated by secret police in Cuba, been in the middle of civil war in Sudan, and was part of a team that started the first Christian church in a city in north India. ServLife seeks to build global community by creating mission communities (teams) among the most marginalized and oppressed regions of the world to rescue and care for at-risk children, end hunger, and train/multiply the indigenous church to advance the whole gospel to the whole person
Joel did his undergraduate at Baylor University in Texas and graduate work at Fuller Seminary in California. Joel has consulted and spoken for Leadership Network, The Jesus Film Project, David C. Cook Publishing (FutureGen Conferences), Wheaton College, Dallas Baptist University, Asbury Seminary, The Gathering, Gordon-Conwell Seminary, & numerous churches around the world.
