Timothy Callahan

Timothy J. Callahan, Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist who received his doctorate from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Callahan has 20 years of experience working with children and families, as well as adults and teens, in a variety of settings including community mental health centers, private practice, hospitals, schools and correctional facilities. He is the Director of Mental Health Services for Greene County Educational Service Center in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Dr. Callahan previously served as the Chief of Psychology for Ohio’s adult prison system and Clinical Director of a large youth-serving mental health agency.

Dr. Callahan has accumulated a wealth of knowledge about human development and the impact early experiences have on our capacity to thrive. He has worked extensively with adopted and foster children and their families, and continues to be amazed by human resiliency and adaptability. He is committed to helping shed light on the mysteries of human development and is an advocate for an educated, compassionate and artful approach to parenting and treatment.

Dr. Callahan lives in Yellow Springs, Ohio with his wife and daughter.
