About Discipleship Journal
For more than seven decades, The Navigators organization has been committed to knowing Christ and making Him known worldwide. NavPress, a ministry of The Navigators, produces spiritual-growth resources and, in 1981, began publishing Discipleship Journal. The magazine was taken out of print in 2009.
Discipleship Journal was designed to provide timeless articles that helped believers develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and provided practical help in understanding the Bible and applying it to daily life and ministry. For more than 28 years, DJ, pursued this goal with excellence and passion.
DJ was one of the few evangelical Christian magazines to reach a broad readership across denominational lines, bringing practical, biblical, and personal articles accompanied by outstanding original artwork to readers every two months. Throughout the years, DJ won numerous awards for both design and content.
Though the magazine is no longer in print, its content lives on in the online archives, which bring you thousands of articles from authors of depth and integrity. When you search past issues, you’ll find feature articles on a variety of topics, as well as several articles related to the issue’s special theme topic, and a variety of ministry-helps articles.
People who enjoyed the ministry of DJ continue to value the monthly email newsletter Discipleship Inside Out.
