New Christian

I think God truly used this book showing me what was expected from me as a follower of his word. When I was alone and needed a quick answer to what it meant to live in my new life as a christian I found his values just inside the book simple and easy to comprehend.I got it as a gift and eventually lent it to a friend who decided they could not part with it.I then contacted Navpress customer service and reordered it for myself.I love it and recommend it highly.I know God will continue to use this book to lead many.

In response to the 2002 response to A Compact Guide to the Christian Life

While mistakes happen at times. We truly live in a world that is in rebellion against the standards and instructions of our Heavenly Father. A Guide shows the standard that God would have us to live by. While we can be forgiven for mistakes or sin, God expects us to reach for His standard. There's too much human reasoning and not enough obedience to the Word. I have fallen short as well. Mrs. Hinkleys book is excellent. I carried it with me every day for a while. I gave it to a fellow Christian in his 20s. I recommend this book to everyone.
