A Book with "Staying Power"

I read this book when it first came out in 1987 and I was still new to the working world. The book has had a profound impact and gave me a sense of vision, allowing me to successfully combine work (I'm a consultant in computer networking) and ministry over the last 15+ years. Over time, I've found myself referring back to particular parts of the book as I've faced challenges or just needed "an attitude adjustment." Its on my short list of life-changers!

A Life-Changing Book

Your Work Matters to God came out in 1987, and some of it does sound a little dated now. However, the theology of work (the beginning chapters of the book) is still rock-solid, and the practical applications show the experience of someone who truly knows how to be "as wise as a serpent and as harmless as a dove." Reading this book at age 25 changed my life and made all the work I've done since much more fulfilling, despite the external circumstances and frustrations along the way. I highly recommend this book.
