Living Proof by Jim Petersen

If you want to reach out to others, this book will help you learn how to be living proof of the gospel for nonChristian friends, neighbors, and coworkers.

Description: Jim Petersen shares what he’s learned from over 25 years of working with the unchurched. He shows that, although many people don’t want to hear about our faith, they will talk about their own felt needs--needs that can only be met in Christ.

Learn how to develop relationships with the unreached, model the Christian message, and eventually present the Bible’s claims in a non-threatening manner.

Great Book

This is the best book I've read to date on the subject of evangelism. I recently purchased two copies one for myself and another for a man whose passion is evangelism. I will also recommend this book in future ministry and am using the study from John in the back as a guide line for a preaching/teaching series I'm doing in a local youth group. This will definately be a resouce for training/equipping other Christians for me in the future.

top pick for any believer

I would soooo definitely recommend this book to anyone who is willing to risk the way they look at their life. Jim respectfully challenges the most popular mindsets toward evangelism (ie- prison, elderly, foreign missions, the "bring em' to church and hope for a change" mentality, etc..) and manages to open up a wonderfully Biblical model that is integrated into life-24/7. What Jim has to say is nothing new in the great scheme of things, but what a refreshing reminder to us all that if we strip away modernity with all the bells and whistles, we can see that God has been using the common working man to build His kingdom.
