I was overwhelmed by the truth in this book
I have been a Christian since 2008, and a full-time missionary since 2009. Nothing ever seems to make sense, but the Lord is faithful. I have been overwhelmed for a very long time about finances and what I should expect or what I should or....EVERYTHING.
When I was given this book I put it on the shelf to gather dust, because I had "important ministry work to do." I am finally state-side and I've just gotten through the Especially for Overseas Missionaries chapter and I cried. I was overwhelmed with the truth in this book and finally feel like I have been given the tools to do what the Lord has given me a passion for, without having to sweat and worry every time I have to plan on coming back to the States. I have struggled with feeling supported by family and friends....even when the Lord brought them around and I had their support spiritually and morally...my bank account was deflated.
This book gave me the support I needed to KEEP me in the field. I can't express the weight of gratitude. I am going to share this book with fellow missionary families and even present it to our ministry board for other missionaries considering to come.
Not one of the staff missionaries that I work with are 100% funded. We often feel very alone. Thank you for the encouragement and support!
