life changing
I am anxious to purchase The Overload Syndrome which I will do right now. I have read Margins and A Minute of Margin. In fact, I reread them frequently and give these books as gifts. Dr. Swenson's "prescriptions" have been life-changing for me.

stressed & too busy?
Dr. Swenson writes a powerful prescription for those who are always tired, harried, and have little time for the really important things in life and don't know why. He powerfully critiques our culture in a way that helps us to really think about the way we live and compare it to God's ways and purposes for our lives. Reading this book and Dr. Swenson's other book, called Margin have helped me feel more in control of my life and less at the mercy of the forces of culture. Any pastor or ministry leader who is wondering why people in their church/ministry don't have more time and energy to give to Kingdom work NEEDS to read and apply and teach these principles. Both Margin & The Overload Syndrome discuss causes and what to do about it. Margin is heavier on examining the causes and The Overload Syndrome focuses more on the solutions/prescriptions. The Overload Syndrome is a bit easier to read, and Margin goes into more detail, so take your pick or order the combination book and get both.
