Salvation
I found this book tossed in as a freebie with some books that my sister had ordered. I read it and it truly gave me hope. Sometime shortly after reading the book, I reached out to God for help and he Delivered me from Alcoholism and began to heal me from a horrible childhood. I have been sober for 15 years, recieved a GED and I will graduate with two BA's in June of 2011. God bless NAVPRESS, Eugene Peterson, and who ever threw the Message of Hope in that box of books.

"The Message of Hope"
“The Message of Hope” is a wonderful pocket sized book, to give as a gift or to keep for yourself as a companion to the version of the Bible, “The Message”. This version is one of my favorite “modern-day” versions of the Bible, though, I don’t think I will ever stray far from my very favorite version of the Bible, the “KJV”, also known as the “King James Version”.
This little book, may be small in size, but it is big in content, filled with the word of God, from beginning to end, you will always have something from the word to meditate upon. Each time you read it, you will come away with something new and fresh in your heart and mind. I love how you can read the same thing over and over, and each time gain a new perspective and view on it, and that is exactly how “The Message of Hope” is.
So if you are feeling like you have missed the mark, maybe not all of your dreams have come true, or you are just plain miserable in life for no apparent reason? You may just find that the book, “The Message of Hope” is what you are looking for! You may discover, what the Lord really has in store for you, and you will realize that most people have these feelings at some point in their lives.
