Great for Everyone
When I began reading this book, I could not put it down. I read it in two sittings. It helped me tremendously in my own life, but also helped me in ministering to someone who has gone through a situation very similar to the author's. Many thanks that Carol obviously allowed the Holy Spirit of God to lead her as she walked through this experiance and as she wrote this book as a way of ministering to others. I cannot possibly say enough good about the book and the way it is written. As I was reading, I deeply felt every emotion that was expressed in the book.

laying my issace down
I had the pleasure of reading this book and it helped me throught a very difficult time. It was also a comfort knowing that someone knew what my family and I were going through. Thank you God and thank you for using Carol Kent as your vessel in spite of the circumstances and hurt she was and is going through.

Daughter in prison
I thank Carol so much as I read her book.I am going through exactly what Carol has gone through. As I continue to read,I realize that Carol and God are speaking to me.When I read Psalms 91,I finally found comfort and peace about my situation.I truly believe that things are going to get better for my daughter. It really hurt when I got word that she was beaten and hospitalized for three days.I can not go hug her and make it go away.I f it were not for Carols book I would be a mess,as I lay my Isaac down. Thank you and God bless you

Incredible
I had this book sitting at home waiting to be read for months. I felt a strong urging to finally read it (it had been recommended to me as a great book for our media center at church) and know God was preparing me to lay down my own Isaac. Just a month later I was confronting my own daughter with an eating disorder and the principles in this book helped prepare me for that battle and to totally lean on God. It was a long year, but also a good one full of love & faithfulness. I think this book should be a MUST read for EVERYONE. We need to be prepared ahead of time, not wait for crises to happen.
