Paraphrase
It is my wish that the description of this book be titled a paraphrase of Gods words as there were liberties taken in translating which make it good for modern readers but not good for studying literal meaning as the text meant different things than our modern day English does and anyone who attempts to study the message as if it were a literal translation will easily draw conclusions that good theology would frown upon. But this might be fixed if people understood that it is not s translation but rather a paraphrase.

Message Bible
I have three Message Bibles, a pocket sized, a remix and regular. It is the clearest and most exciting Bible I have ever read. It gets a person excited about scripture and makes you feel as if you are there when the writers are speaking. I love it.

for college student. ??? Regular or full size.
They already have a full size study bible.
My grandsons don't know anything about the bible.
They can compare pocket size to regular size, maybe.
One is in the Naval Acadamy in Annapolis.

Should have got this earlier.
I was given a copy of The Message being from the old school and thought that the King James Version (KJV) was the only one and true Holy Bible, was I wrong. I really enjoy reading the Word of God in plain English. I also enjoy reading the commentary prior to the Books which gives a historical account for each, which the KJV doesnot include. I am a history buff and enjoy learning as much as I can pertaining to history. When it comes to the Word of God, I'm there.
I am very pleased.
