Stuck in a twisted love triangle, Jordan feels absolutely green with envy until her former best friend, Kara, introduces her to someone even more important.
Description:
Jordan Ferguson and Shawna Frye became good friends when Jordan made cheerleader. But when Timothy suddenly dumps Shawna to start seeing Jordan, rumors fly.
Shawna gets her revenge, first by smearing Jordan's reputation, then by tempting Timothy with an offer he can't refuse. Jordan feels absolutely green with envy--so much so that she considers doing everything in her power to get Tim back. Everything.
This second book in the teen fiction series TrueColors deals with jealousy and relationships. Includes discussion questions.

In regards to "Not for Christians"
As a new fan of Melody Carlson's (I just discovered her and her series last month) I completely disagree with the writer of the comment "Not for Christians," and honestly, I hope he/she reads this so as to gain a different perspective. First of all, being a Christian young adult myself, I applaud these books for being REAL to young people. The subjects the books in the TrueColor series are REAL issues that young adults are faced with on a daily basis at high shcool, Christian or not. Which brings me to my next point: why should Melody Carlson or any Christian author write something that doesn't relate to EVERYONE? Need I remind you that Jesus himself made it very clear that he did not come for the healthy, but for the sick. As a Christian who is also an aspiring YA author, I hope my books never end up on a Christian shelf. Why? Two reasons: 1.) Because most Christian fiction sucks, let's just be honest. And 2.) Because then only Christians will have access to it. Non-Christian teens or Christian teens who have backslidden or are not on fire for God, are not going to find themselves looking for their next read in the Christian section of a bookstore. While encouraging our brothers and sisters in Christ is necessary and important, we are called to reach the LOST. I think sometimes that the last thing Christian authors should do is write Christian books. They aren't marketable to anyone ouside of the faith, and while Christian teens need Godly leisure activities and entertainment to turn to, it's unwise to shelter them from real issues and the ways in which they as Christians can deal with those issues in a real and Godly way. And to publish something that inspires towards God's love but is not universal to teenagers from ALL walks of life and backgrounds is also unwise. I think C.S. Lewis said it perfectly: "What we want is not more books about Christianity, but more books by Christians on other subjects - with their Christianity latent." I have not come here to insult or cause drama among the comment board, but this is a topic I feel very passionate about and have even dedicated an entire blog to, so to see any Christian have such a closed-minded view on a ministry tool as affective as literature - well let's just say it ruffles my feathers a bit. I am a fan of Melody Carlson's work, and am very eager to read other books by the authors published by NavPress. Kudos!

Not for Christians
I was shocked at the explicit descriptions and the pervasiveness of sexual intercourse as an ongoing topic in this book. These are not appropriate books for Christian teens. There are a lot of good books out there to read - no need to waste your time on Mrs. Carlson's "color series". I was really surprised to see NavPress publishing this kind of stuff.

lovein it
This book was just so true. It had passion, love, supense, and real facts and life telling stories about life. I got this book only three days ago and once I read the first chapter I just could not put the book down. This is probably the fastest I'v ever read a book. I am really considering to start to collect the series. So for all the haters out there who called this book bad and is hating on Jordan like get a life, because the things she did any one could do! Every one makes mistakes. So seriously don't hate!!!!

never thought it could be so good...
i just really needed a book for class one day. so i went to the school library. as i was looking through the rows i saw a green book with a cool cover and i read the back of the book. i was like,"okay, sounds WAY too much like our school! i guess ill give it a try." i got into it as soon as i started reading it. i went back to get the what i thought was the second book, but really was the third one. i asked and the librarian said that she would get the whole series just for me...and boy was it freaking worth the money!-i luv the series. READ THEM ALL!!!

WOW!
This book is the type of book that I think that any teenage girl would want to read. It is about what type of things that can really happen at your school at your age. It is a book that is not boring it can really teach you a lesson based on life.So any teenager out there that is a girl that has not read this book I think that you should. It is a great book. If you have already read this book I hope that you could incourage your friends to read this book and Melody Carlsons books.

Awesome!
It was one of my favorite books in True Colors. So far I have read four, my favorite are the second and the third ones, one's good too and four is okay. My best-friend doesn't feel the same way though, she didn't really like one and couldn't read this one, because she couldn't take it, but I loved it!
