Good book!

REALLY good book. But I have to change something.. Some of the names are wrong. The 'abstinence-princess' is Casey Renwick, no Callie. The 'jock-boy' is Justin Clark, not Jamie.

Sex

Sex is fun and painfull at first. But the second time you do it it feels great! Me and my boyfriend have done it three or four times now. We both are only 15.

So?

So what if teens have sex? I am only 15 years old and I have a boyfriend and we slept together. He stayed with me when he font out I was pregnant. We kept the baby and got married. My parents and his parents are supportive of us. So what is the big deal?

I Love it.

I'm only 12 yrs.old.This book is not really for my age but I think that since I'm about to go to the TEEN stage,i have the right to know what i should be doing and not doing. I may be young but I think I've read more than 100 books in my life. I became Top Borrower for 3 months in our School Library but I don't only borrow from the library.. I borrow from my friends as well. I got really touched and attached to these books. Torch Red was somehow scary for me. I got scared when Justin was drunk and about to strip Zoe naked. I was somehow afraid, imagining if it were me. Usually in the bus on the way to school, I nap for a while but when my friend introduced me to these books, I quit napping and i Read and I read and I read...I'm even planning to use my birthday money to buy more Truecolor Books. I wanna read Pitch Black...it would be sad for me to know that a very close friend of mine passed away, I would like to see what this girl did to get through all the struggles she's been going through. If it were me, the only things I do are only Pray and Pray for her soul to rest in peace. I've only read Deep Green and Torch Red but they've taught me a lot as a Catholic and as a Person. I'm planning to read more of these books. Melody Carlson...you're truly an awesome writer...:)

THIS IS AMAZING!!!

i have never really heard of the true colors series until my friend showed me this book, at first i didnt think that a book about a girl struggling with purity would be boring, but it was really good, and it made me think about how our actions effect us, if not now, than in the long run.

Pledged...

I am a pledged virgin until i get married. Surprisingly ladies at my age are giving up theirselves faster than i can get this book into their hands. I have surrounded myself by pledged virgins and it has effected my behavior toward males and also toward those who have given themselves up and regret it.

Exciting!

I, along with a lot of other girls in their teen years, love reading books about girls and all the drama inbetween. my aunt got me the first book in this series, and within a month i had read them all.-but this is my favorite of all of them. i think that it is inspiring and lets girls know that relationships are about more than just sex. i know it seems hard when other girls are talking about it at school, or just anywhere, but this book has taught me to wait until your married, and to not sell yourself out just because you want attention.

Posted by katie on 1/21/2007 2:26:00 PM

INCREADIBLE!!!!!!

this book makes you want to think twice before just giving you're virginity away to a guy who will probably just leave you once he gets bored of you. It shows a whole nother perspective on how you look at sex too and why its worth the wait to save sex for marriage!!!!!

One of my favorites

Man how does she write such goos books. This one was one of favorites because it deals with something must all girls deal with, christian or not, sex. This book made me defintly want to stay a virgin till i get married. All girls should read this book. Thanks melody.

Amazing!

I loved this book! So many people feel like they have to fit in and this book shows that it is not always just about being popular. It gives a Christian perspective without making people feel like they are being preached to.

I Love This Book

I Love Torch Red! Girl's in my school thought it would be disgusting and a lot about sex and have sex scenes. It didn't even have real sex scenes and it doesn't describe it vividly, it's sorta vague, but in a good way. I'm so glad I read it, because it just has a great lesson there and I really loved it.

Definetley my Favorite

This book so far is my favorite of the Color me True Series. It puts on a whole new prespective of waiting for marriage before sex. It also shows that people in school who think there cool because they had sex really aren't that satisfied and that they really do get STDS and prengnent. Now I know for sure I want to wait and you will to. This is a definate must!

Amazing Story

WOW!!!!! This book was incredible. It normally takes me a very long time to read a book but I finsished this one in 2 days because it was such a page turner!!!!!! The things that go on in this book just keep you on the edge wondering what's going to happen next!!! It's incredible how many teenagers go through this same exact temptation and I think it needs to be put out in the media more often about how kids should belive in abstinence and not waste their time getting STDs and pregnency over somebody who they probably won't spend the rest of their ife with! It's just so amazing how so many young people think that their first time having sex is no big deal, but from reading this book you have to know that it really is a big deal. Overall, Melody Carlson did an awesome job writing this story. She kept it interesting so that teens keep reading instead of thinking its boring and putting the book down. It really was a truly incredible book.

WOW!!!

That's all I can say!is WOW!!! This book was Gr8!!! This puts a whole new perspective on sex, and why you should wait; and how hard it could be to wait. I loved how Zoe found the courage to leave Justin when he wanted something too big to ask for...

these books are great!

i LOVE THESE BOOKS. so far i've read the first three, and oi loved them all. i can just tell that i want to read them all. i love the way that in all the books, there lives were miserable until they found god. it definately shows his ways. A+, MELODY CARLSON!!!

Posted by daniellle on 1/5/2006 3:55:00 PM

i love it

This book should be read by all teens. Melody Carlson’s voice needs to be heard about her opinion on sex. This book is appealing, electrifying, and engaging making you wish the book would never end. Melody’s opinion on sex was tremendously controversial and will make you ponder your life-changing decisions. This book, Torch Red by Melody Carlson, published by NavPress copyright 2004, is 204 pages and relates to teens from ages 12 and up through high school who would like an understandable, non-fairytale (believable) book. This novel is mainly for girls. I loved this novel and cannot wait to read the next one in the True Colors Series.

Torch Red = Powerful

This book was great. It did a good job hitting the issue hard. It was disgusting what Zoe saw and heard sometimes but that's reality in today's high scools. I was very pleased with how realistic it was. High-School kids will really be able to relate to Zoe and be encouraged at the ending!
