Used this book on a backpacking trip. Had the kids do a chapter a day in small groups. The trip ended early because of bad weather but they wanted to finish the book. The church kids said it was really good and made them think for themselves while the non-church kids really appreciated the information and explanations. The kids on the trip asked to do the whole series with our youth group.

Grab a dictionary
Great material, but if you plan on giving it to teenagers, hand them a dictionary as words like "serendipitous", "marginalize", and "insipid" come at you in the first 20 pages. Not that there's anything wrong with expanding their vocabulary, it just makes the meaning of the text tougher to comprehend because they're hung up on the not-so-common words.

Great for teens
We recently used this study as our devotional/study at Jr High Camp Week. Although a little challenging for the young teens, we divided each lesson in 2 segments beginning of chapter as their morning devo work and completed the chapter in small groups in the evening. The material is excellent - the majority of students were able to complete the assignments. Material provoked good discussion with teens who attended and (beleiever and nonbelievers). Highly recommended.
