Disappointed
The characters in this book were very human and easy to identify with. I was disappointed because I was holding my breath through the whole book waiting for a God moment. That never happened. Sure, there were some Christian characters in the book who showed God's love unconditionally, but the gospel is absent. There is no repentance or true forgiveness for the man who looked at pornography, cheated on his wife, and checked out the hospice nurse's "nice boobs" while his wife was on her death bed. I am irritated that I wasted so much time on this book waiting for a redemption that never happened.
