Awesome Workbook
“Your Life in Christ” is the first of a bible study series by The Navigators. The series focuses on developing Christian character, growing your relationship with God, and maturing in your walk with God. Your Life in Christ is the first of seven in this series and was a very enjoyable workbook that focused on God caring for you, the person of Jesus Christ, the work of Jesus, and the spirit within you. I believe we are all called upon to be disciples for Christ and this work book is a great foundation for getting started. The studies are easy to follow and are divided into four or five week’s worth of lessons per workbook. I liked that there is room for journaling your thoughts and feelings about the particular lesson and think this would be a great tool for a Sunday school class. I think these workbooks are geared more towards the new believer but could also be beneficial to a more mature believer. As a long time believer, this workbook made me think about and explore why it is that I believe what I believe. Because of this, I have been able to better answer questions of non-believers or even new believers, making me a better disciple.

Great for Solo or Group Stude
As someone with a degree in Religious Education, I was really excited about the opportunity to review the first book of the Design for Discipleship series from NavPress. I'm always looking for studies to recommend either to others for personal study or for Sunday School classes. I was a bit shocked when I received books 1,3 and 5 to review.
The study is divided into 4 or 5 weeks worth of lessons per book. I took a little time and read through the questions for each week and was very happy with what I read.
The study is a bit on the basic side, but it's in-depth for basics. It's not too complicated for a new believer and it's not too basic for even someone who has studied the Word for years. It would be great for use in a Sunday School setting.
The study is a bit long for each week, but if it's taken a few questions per day, it would not be too overwhelming, even for a new Christian.
I like that each lesson has a space for journaling during the week and several have charts to match the lesson.
I will be recommending this as a church wide study and look forward to completing the study both by myself and in a group.

DFD 1 book
I plan on going through this series with a group of women praying it impacts the women as the original series did for me in the 70's. The first book is living up to my memories expectations. Excellent, thought-provoking questions.
