Good source for a basic overview
Heatley understands burnout at work. He’s been there. In The Gift of Work, he addresses this problem. First, he explores a new model of work life, in which we daily seek God’s direction in the smallest actions. Heatley explains how to practice spiritual disciplines specifically for and in the workplace. Through stories of his own experiences, Heatley demonstrates how the Christian’s workplace can transform from a place of exhaustion into an exciting arena where the believer participates in God’s kingdom work.

Great Resource for the Insider
I highly recommend this book. Mr. Heatley does an excellent job presenting a "different way of thinking" of our jobs, our work, our lives and Kingdom living. He takes some of the wonderful work of Dallas Willard and puts it into context for "the typical disciple" working in "the real world". His writing is clear, thoughtful and is now considered an essential resource in my "intentional disciple-making" library. I will be giving this book to those Disciples of Jesus who are "tired, worn out with the mundane and need to see how God is at work...right where they work. Worth the read!
