Disappointed
I saw the Pray Kids prayer cards in another church and took a few for my personal prayers and to see if my church would like to use them. Although most of them are awesome, and I really liked the way they help teach us ways to pray for people and situations, I was disappointed with this kids' Praying for My Pastor card. Why does it say "he" each time it refers to the pastor? The adult version recognizes female pastors - why not the kids'? Is there a version for a church with a female pastor? I sure would like the kids in my church to pray for me without having trip over the language that obviously doesn't apply to their pastor. And it bothers me that it teaches them that a male pastor is the norm.

Wonderful resource!
When our pastor saw these he was excited! He knows first hand the power of prayer on his behalf. I love this set because it helps our kids to realize that our pastor has needs like everyone else.
It also helps our kids to be more comfortable with him because they are entering into prayer for him. It is a joy to hear them intercede for our pastor!
