Highly Recommended
As a full-time pastor I am constantly looking for resources for our people. DJ's Bible Reading Journal is the best resource for getting people to actually read their Bibles daily that I have found yet. It combines two essentials Reading and Journaling with carefully selected articles that really are tools to keep participants motivated. But, if you ask me, those who take up this volume will find the Scripture to be motivation enough to keep them coming back daily.
The beauty of this little book is it's "no frills" simplicity.
I love the fact that they do not include dates on the pages. This enables participants to start at any point. Another benefit is that each reading includes something from either Psalms or Proverbs. This will really help those who have a hard time applying Leviticus to their lives.
Finally, having kept journals for the past twelve years, I cannot over-emphasize the value of the writing space included for each reading. If you're not used to it, it may seem like work at first, but as the months go by and you have a growing body of work completed, there is a tremendous satisfaction to be gained as you leaf through your completed entries.
