The Pursuit of Holiness by Jerry Bridge

The Pursuit of Holiness helps us see clearly just what we should rely on God to do--and what we should accept responsibility for ourselves.

Description: “Be holy, for I am holy,” commands God. But holiness is something that is often missed in the Christian’s daily life. According to Navigator author Jerry Bridges, that’s because we’re not exactly sure what our part in holiness is.

In
The Pursuit of Holiness, he helps us see clearly just what we should rely on God to do--and what we should take responsibility for ourselves. As you deepen your relationship with God, learn more about His character, and understand the Holy Spirit's role in holiness, your spiritual growth will mature.

The Pursuit of Holiness

I have had this book for a couple of years and just now have read it. I think anyone who desires to walk closer to our God and has a desire to be like Jesus, should absolutely read this book. I am going to recommend this book to everyone I know. It will change your entire outlook on Holiness and more than anything else, it will definitely make you want to live (strive) to be Holy, just as God is Holy. Awesome book!

Very Good Study

We used this book along with the study guide for our small group study. The material was very thought provoking. The first half made us wonder if any of us were worthy of God's holiness. We discovered that, actually, we are not but it is by His grace that we receive it and that the second half provided us with the tools to grow closer to Him and to walk in His Holiness.
