A great read and a wonderful tool for evangelism!
This book was a wonderful surprise! I must say from the minute I began to read I was captured by the relationship between the two main characters. The dialogue makes you laugh and the story touches the heart and really makes you think about the real meaning of sacrificial friendship and the gift of children. Sharon Souza is an excellent writer and relates to her audience well. The book could be easily used as a small group/book study....particularly for women in the 20s and 30s age group. Its issues are relevant to today's society. I look forward to more books from this new writer!

One You Won't Want to Miss
Every Good & Perfect Gift is a story about friendship, but the scope of the story is greater and the impact is powerful.
Readers care for the realistic characters and can't help but be caught up in their friendship, but the power of the novel is in the exploration of the other timely subjects.
This book is not light weight. It "adeptly" deals with these serious issues and Souza doesn't give easy answers.
Some have referred to Every Good & Perfect Gift as "poignant." That's a good word to describe the story. "Sad" is inaccurate because the story has more to say than "what happened in the end." Besides, in places, the journey to the end is itself poignant.
At times I was laughing, at other times I wanted to shake one or both characters, but in the end I cried. And cried. If one sign of a successful novel is that it evokes emotion in the reader, then Sharon Souza has written one very successful novel.
Mind you, it is most definitely women's fiction. It is contemporary, and it may touch on some raw edges for some people. But in so doing, it also might help those readers process what is almost an untouchable subject (or subjects) among Christians.
Yes, this book is also overtly Christian, but without any platitudes or pretension. It is simply a moving story, one that touched me even though I am far from the target audience. Good books have a way of doing just that.

I have never loved a book more then I love this one! It pulled me right in and I felt like I knew the characters personally. I usually can’t get through a book, because I lose interest, but this one kept me coming back for more! Sharon K. Souza is brilliant! I highly recommend this book to everyone!
