The race in which we run has numerous opportunities for doubt and fear. If we don\u2019t run with faith and trust, our race has no joy, no peace, and certainly no freedom. So how do we lay aside doubt and fear?<\/strong> We look to those who were able to run victoriously and study their lives.
\nAfter Paul acknowledged his fears to the Corinthians, in the very next sentence he wrote, \u201cBut God . . . \u201c (2 Corinthians 7:6).
\nDevelop a \u201cBut God\u201d Attitude<\/strong>
\nWhen we are overwhelmed with apprehensions, we must learn the \u201cBut God\u201d response. \u201cBut God\u201d sent Titus to encourage Paul. \u201cBut God\u201d revealed Himself to Asaph in the sanctuary. \u201cBut God\u201d was David\u2019s light and salvation. \u201cBut God\u201d calmed the storm for the fearful disciples. \u201cBut God,\u201d when we turn to Him, whether plagued by doubt or fear, is our Rock; there is no other.

\nTake Refuge in Him<\/strong>
\nWhenever we begin to doubt, we must not waiver in our faith, but be fully assured that what God has promised, He is also able to perform (see Romans 4:21). God has pledged Himself to be our defense, our refuge, our strength, and \u201cHe has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises\u201d (2 Peter 1:4, NASB). He is our hiding place when we are fearful, and He is our confidence when we are doubtful. Our trust in His love and strength are indispensable to staying on course in the race that is set before us.<\/p>\n

Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.<\/em>\u00a0 Isaiah 44:8<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
