Eugene Polupan

Eugene Polupan

Eugene Polupan is a pastor, teacher, and spiritual formation leader with a gift for bringing together theological depth, emotional honesty, and practical wisdom. He serves as executive pastor and teacher at Anthem Church in the Pacific Northwest, a growing, multiethnic church known for its focus on spiritual formation, emotional health, and gospel-centered discipleship. Eugene also leads operations for the Church Formation team at Practicing the Way, where he helps equip pastors and churches with resources and coaching for deeper discipleship. Before transitioning into full-time ministry, Eugene spent twelve years in the tech industry at Microsoft, balancing corporate leadership with bi-vocational ministry. That unusual blend of pastoral calling and organizational experience has shaped his ability to translate complex ideas into clear, grounded practices for everyday life and relationships.Born in Ukraine and raised in the United States, Eugene learned early how to navigate tension, pressure, and cross-cultural identity. Those experiences helped form his deep sensitivity to conflict, formation, and the inner life. He is passionate about helping people encounter biblical truth not only in their minds, but in their hearts and habits.Eugene regularly writes on his growing Substack, Becoming Formed, where he explores the intersection of faith, surrender, control, and spiritual formation. He holds a degree in history from the University of Washington. Eugene and his wife, Julie, have been married since 2012 and are raising their three children: Rachel, James, and Nicole.
