After Easter, keep pursuing life with Christ>
Preparing for Lent
Whether your church traditionally observes Lent or not, this sacred season is an opportunity to focus on your relationship with God through the spiritual disciplines of prayer, penitence (confessing your sins and getting right with God), and service to others. It’s also a time of lament: expressing remorse for personal sin as well as the effects of sin on this broken world. But these practices aren’t ends in themselves—ultimately, they help prepare you to celebrate the triumphant hope of Easter.
To support you on your Lenten journey, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite books on prayer, lament, and spiritual growth. You can also sign up for a free weekly devotional hosted by NavPress author Aubrey Sampson!
